Eden Locke

Eden Locke has quietly established itself as one of Edinburgh's most talked-about and thoroughly loved places to stay. Occupying a beautifully restored Georgian townhouse on the prestigious George Street, this design-led aparthotel offers a bold and refreshing alternative to the traditional hotel experience. The aesthetic is immediately arresting: think soft sage greens, dusty pinks, and warm natural woods, all softened by an abundance of lush tropical plants in woven rattan baskets that spill across every corner of the interior.

The studios and one-bedroom apartments are generously proportioned and exceptionally well-equipped, featuring fully fitted kitchens with quality appliances, allowing you the freedom to cook your own meals using ingredients sourced from Edinburgh's wonderful local markets and independent grocers. The large Georgian windows flood every room with natural light and frame wonderful views of the New Town's elegant streetscapes. Beds are dressed in crisp white linens, and the high-speed WiFi and thoughtful workspace setups make Eden Locke a genuine favourite for business travellers and digital nomads.

The ground floor of the property is home to a beautifully appointed café-bar that serves single-origin speciality coffee, fresh pastries, and light seasonal lunches by day, transforming into an intimate social space by evening. Its central location on George Street places you within easy reach of Princes Street, the Scottish National Gallery, Stockbridge's independent boutiques, and the city's best restaurants. Eden Locke is outstanding value for the quality of space, design, and location it delivers, and a genuinely exciting place to call home while exploring Edinburgh.
